| Septimania | Southern France | |
| “ Septimania ” was the Roman name for the coastal land between the Rhône, at the Eastern side, and the Pyrénées at the Southern end of what is now Southern France and encompassed in modern terms what are now the departements of the Gard, l'Hérault, l'Aude and the Pyrénées-Orientales plus some or all of the adjacent departments, l'Ardèche, the Lozère, l'Aveyron, the Tarn, l'Haute-Garonne & l'Ariège. |

| Today, “ Septimania ” is the true South of France, to the East are the “chic” resorts of Cannes etc. to the South - the Spanish “Costas”, with all their “High Rise” - here we have a wonderful climate, fabulous beaches, ski resorts, every kind of sport and coutryside, but most of all we have the real, the true flavour of Southern France, and the space, and the time to enjoy it! |
