The Port (red, “only RED PORT LEFT”) entrance marker for the harbour of Marseillan

The port of Marseillan opens into the Étang de Thau, inland seawater lake, note that on the port marker the use of the Òccitan cross and the name of Marseillan in Òccitan, “Massilhan”.

The harbour and town of Marseillan lies inland on the Étang de Thau which is famous for its oysters and mussels, whereas the beach of Marseillan Plage is on the Mediterranean Sea.
