| Septimania | Quintillan village, Corbières | |
| The village of Quintillan, built on a rocky promontory in the Corbières wine region of Southern France is a very small village
with few inhabitants, the large and somewhat ugly wine co-operative still stands but most of the grapes that are produced in this region are now taken
down to the Fitou wine caves on the Mediterrranean coast. With the decline of the only major industry the population has dwindled and the village is
now home to retired people and those who have holiday homes here. © 2009 Malcolm Beeson |
